Why not add some option, or mention on the man page how to: make different characters make different beeps, e.g., have $ echo .-.- ..-.|beep -... sound different than $ echo .........|beep -... sound different than $ echo abcefghij|beep -... etc. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
