That's why I said "at worst." As in, the Ubuntu folks being completely
uninterested in accepting changes that would benefit other
distributions. (But they should be cool with it, right?)

I gave the five "alias" lines, and Antoine even recapitulated them in
patch form. I think everyone here gets the idea.
The only difference is that, in the absence of being able to write
something like
if (@{distro} == debian) {
in the profile, it might end up being that they add the "alias" lines
commented-out, with a note to uncomment them on Debian (and then the
Debian delta does exactly that). I don't know what would be the best way
of handling this.
