Bug#294375: tmview: FTBFS (amd64/gcc-4.0): label at end of compound statement and illegal lvalue in assignment

When building 'tmview' on amd64 with gcc-4.0,
I get the following error:

When this is fixed I get some 'invalid lvalue in assignment' errors
in 'lX/writelx.c'.

With the attached patch 'tmview' can be compiled
on amd64 using gcc-4.0.
