I've seen this issue at least with 1.34-1.2 on Jessie, too. It seems to have vanished with the fix for https://bugs.debian.org/670681 I'm currently testing -- which is also pid file related. These two issues may be related. I suspect one to be the cause for the other, but I'm not sure what's cause and what's effect. :-) Pidfile from 1.34-1.2 after a clean start: -rw-r--r-- 1 postgrey postgrey 6 Jun 26 17:53 /run/postgrey.pid Pidfile from 1.34-1.2 one "service postgrey restart" later: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6 Jun 26 17:53 /run/postgrey.pid Strange permissions which may cause messages as the one mentioned in this report. I though haven't seen them on this system, but on others. Like the one where the following comes from, before I installed the fix for #670681: Pidfile from potential 1.34-1.3, independent if freshly started or restarted: -rw-r--r-- 1 postgrey postgrey 6 Jun 26 17:51 /run/postgrey.pid Regards, Axel -- ,''`. | Axel Beckert <[email protected]>, http://people.debian.org/~abe/ : :' : | Debian Developer, ftp.ch.debian.org Admin `. `' | 1024D: F067 EA27 26B9 C3FC 1486 202E C09E 1D89 9593 0EDE `- | 4096R: 2517 B724 C5F6 CA99 5329 6E61 2FF9 CD59 6126 16B5 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
