-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 A quick update to my previous message...
After discovering that `service postgrey stop` had no effect, I did the following: root@anaximander:~# kill 3608 root@anaximander:~# service postgrey start Then, I confirmed that postgrey was running again, with a new PID, taking changes into effect that I had made to both /etc/default/postgrey and /etc/postgrey/whitelist_clients and /etc/postgrey/whitelist_clients.local So, my theory is that reload is failing, but stop also have no effect (even though it doesn't show a failure). Meanwhile, start is buggy, in that it doesn't through the usual error if you run it while the service is already running, but start *does* work if the service is *not* running (e.g. after I manually killed it). Hope this helps... -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iEYEARECAAYFAlOtqswACgkQFotiJZ8N2Pmj/ACffkXZ99N9I2JBD9c3ECwNvSQV troAnimQbKJzipLqqM0dlvedN9j4T7Oe =pZ0j -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
