Hi,

Today I had an issue which might be related to the above report. After
noticing that the fan went on maximum speed I found that packagekitd
took 100% of the ressources of one CPU core and it used about 1GB of
memory.

Shortly after that, it told me that I had packages to upgrade and it
stopped using CPU ressources excessively (and finally terminated after
some more time).

I'm using jessie and upgraded to version 0.8.17-4 of packagekit last
week.

I'll report again if I notice this behaviour once more and I'd be happy
to provide any other information if necessary.

Regards,
Stanley
