Comments/Problems:
The installed system is on external firewire, So i had
compiled a custom
kernel with firewire and scsi support built in and
started installation. Installing yaboot step fails.
This seems to be known among people trying to boot
from firewire so it's not a debian specific problem.
One has to manually set OF paths in yaboot.conf before
rebooting and finishing debian installation.
The OF path to the firewire drive can be obtained
with:

Also needed is the "major and minor number" of the
root partition, which is currently mounted on /target:
