Hi, i'm also seeing this issue on a debian wheezy server running dovecot 1:2.1.7-7+deb7u1 and apparmor-profiles 2.7.103-4.
Additional the same errors like shown in the linked launchpad bugreport: Jul 14 09:32:20 imap(admin): Error: fcntl(unlock) locking failed for file /home/admin/mails/dovecot.index.log: No such file or directory Jul 14 09:32:20 imap(admin): Error: fstat() failed with file /home/admin/mails/dovecot.index.log: No such file or directory as well as those errors are shown in my dovecot.log: Jul 14 07:11:21 master: Error: fstat(/var/lib/dovecot/instances.lock) failed: No such file or directory Jul 14 07:11:21 master: Error: file_dotlock_open(/var/lib/dovecot/instances) failed: No such file or directory In contrast to David i'm not running any additional plugins (empty mail_plugins setting in doveconf -a) For now i have disabled the dovecot profile with: ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.dovecot /etc/apparmor.d/disable/ but will do some more tests with the update profiles like requested by intrigeri. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
