i beg to differ; also, we freeze on 5th of november, should the (imho unlikely) need arise we can always (and i'll make sure of that we'll do if needed) revert back to 1.0.x in october in time to have 1.0.x in testing at the time of the freeze.
Unfortunately it doesn't, the minimal debian (lxc-create -t debian -n baredebian) installation and lxc-start -n baredebian will create this mess:
personally i'm using lxc-debconfig instead of lxc-debian, but i'll look into it, let's retitle the bug accordingly then.
I had filled it as a separate bug, but my reportbug was probably misconfigured, so it got lost somewhere.

It might be a result of /var/lib/lxc being a mount point.
