I've filed a Debian bug report there too, btw.

It's perfectly possible that <gnutls> has the necessary definitions
just as <openssl> does.  If libgwenhywfar is mucking around in the
internals of libssl, then it deserves to get zapped.

(Also look at libgcrypt, which is the replacement for -lcrypt, also
found in libssl.)

This is not enough.  Gnucash is not going to change its license, nor
should it.
