My fault, there is a missing mkdir (workaround: mkdir /dev/.udev/
and retry).

It will still fail on:
    mv /dev/.udevdb/ /dev/.udev/db/
Should be:
    mv /dev/.udevdb /dev/.udev/db

I guess you probably noticed and/or fixed this, but since I can't find the new deb in incoming yet, I'll better point this issue out.
