Uploading of .JPG pictures works just fine. Since the bug report 3.5 years ago, no more information on the bug was provided. The <extend depict… syntax appears to be a flash uploader (hence site-specific) problem [1]. The initial website does not exist anymore (it moved on a .net domain name and probably changed it's api since then). I believe this bug can safely be closed.
