The man page says
USAGE
The program will dump your MemoPad database (MemoDB.pdb) from the Palm
and output format suitable for the Hi-Notes application to use.
However
$ hinotes
Please press the HotSync button now... Connected
Unable to open Hi-NoteDB. Is Hi-Notes installed?
You must run Hi-Notes and create at least one entry first.
And furthermore, the man page itself also says
DESCRIPTION
By default, the contents of your Palm's Hi-Notes database (Hi-Not-
eDB.pdb)
Therefore, I conclude that the filename, MemoDB.pdb, in USAGE, should
probably be Hi-NoteDB.pdb!
