Don't say "each" here, say "the" instead:
-f, --fetch <dbname>
Fetch each specified database out of the Palm into the current
directory.
Because it only gets one and ignores(!) the others:
$ pilot-xfer -f MemoDB.pdb AddressDB.pdb DatebookDB.pdb ToDoDB.pdb
Listening to port: /dev/pilot
Please press the HotSync button now... Connected
Fetching 'MemoDB.pdb'... OK
Fetch complete.
True the similar,
-i, --install <file> [...]
Install each specified file into the Palm. Wildcards are valid
with this syntax and multiple files may be listed at once.
has "[...]", but still don't say "each" above.
Better yet, allow getting more than one.
