Package: tasksel Version: 3.20 Severity: important Dear Tasksel Maintainers,
acording to the man page, "tasksel --task-desc $task" should give a description of a task. But all I get is an empty blank line per task: abe@c-cactus:~$ tasksel --list-tasks u desktop Debian desktop environment u web-server web server u print-server print server u database-server SQL database u dns-server DNS Server u file-server file server u mail-server mail server i ssh-server SSH server i laptop laptop abe@c-cactus:~$ tasksel --task-desc ssh-server abe@c-cactus:~$ tasksel --task-desc mail-server abe@c-cactus:~$ tasksel --list-tasks | awk '{print $2}' | xargs -n1 tasksel --task-desc abe@c-cactus:~$ echo $LANG C.UTF-8 abe@c-cactus:~$ I've seen screenshots where this worked in the past. I though don't know if they are from Debian Wheezy or Squeeze. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (600, 'testing'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.15-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages tasksel depends on: ii apt 1.1~exp2 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.53 ii liblocale-gettext-perl 1.05-8 ii perl-base 5.18.2-7 ii tasksel-data 3.20 tasksel recommends no packages. tasksel suggests no packages. -- debconf information: tasksel/tasks: tasksel/title: tasksel/desktop: xfce tasksel/first: ssh-server, laptop -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
