The latest entry in debian/NEWS doesn’t make much sense ([email protected] may be of help to proofread package-related descriptions). If I understand it correctly, it is of no interest for the end-user anyway, so please, just drop it, there is enough NEWS entries to read during a stable upgrade, no need to add useless entries.
