in bug#754463 we are packaging pdf2htmlEX. Optionally it makes use of
CairoFontEngine, CairoRescaleBox and CairoOutputDev headers and

in
pdf2htmlEX so we'd like to ask whether the headers could be made
public
somehow so that they can be used by others like pdf2htmlEX?
Since poppler 0.20.3-1, only headers installed by upstream are
provided, and that is not going to change in the Debian packaging
(especially that those classes are considered really-internal
implementation in poppler-glib).
For the rest, it's upstream bug #55540.
Also, I'd advise against using a feature which requires really-private
poppler stuff, which can break API and ABI anytime; using embedded
copies of them would only be a recipe for disasters.
(Personally, I find rather sad that upstream chose to start using
really-internal stuff without having it public first, but that's
another matter...)
