The version Debian currently ships as readv.3 is actually the upstream readv.3 as it was present until 1.48, as also the infodrom cvs status suggests. readv.2 appears to be an updated version of this old readv.3, so I guess this bug can be fixed by simply dropping readv.3 and writev.3 from the diff.gz.
