OK, it turns out I did not correct install Cantor after compiling it (incorrect installation prefix). However, I've now fixed that problem, and the result is that Cantor loads the Maxima init file successfully and Maxima does honor the prompt prefix and suffix variables, as verified by strace.
So in summary, both Cantor and Maxima appear to be working as expected. Both are built from current source code. I am working on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
