Package: wine-development Version: 1.7.24-2 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hi /usr/bin/wine-development (debian/scripts/wine) sets "WINEDEBUG=-all" by default since 1.7.16-2. I found no reason for this change. When I try to figure out problems with wine, my first step is to run in a terminal "wine program.exe". This helps a lot since AFAIK the FIXME and ERR classes are enabled by default in upstream wine. But now I have to use "WINEDEBUG= wine-development program.exe" to get the same result. I think shutting down these messages (contrary to upstream's default) is no good idea for a program like wine.
