This is due to a bug in python-wxversion, not playonlinux - see #758209, which I've just uploaded a fix for to unstable.
Thanks for your reply. I though it was directly linked to this bug.
The fix should be available very shortly. Meanwhile, if you want a simple workaround, installing python-wxgtk3.0 should allow playonlinux to run.
