Thanks a lot for your quick (and favorable :) response! > Please feel free to send multiple related patches to the same bug report > instead of opening several of those in the future. Well, the reason I didn't send them in together in this case was that the first one - the zlib one - is quite independent from the others, and the last one (the debian/control changes) will produce a package that may not be uploaded to the Debian archive yet. So in my mind they were three different patches indeed - but thanks for considering them together. > I've applied all your patches in libproxy (pkg-gnome) packaging svn > repository so they should be part of the next future upload of the > package. Great :) Thanks! > Additionally lintian told me I needed to add a dpkg-dev (>= 1.17.2) > build dependency to ensure a new enough dpkg-dev with build-profiles > support, and bump debhelper to >= 9.20140227. Ooof! Right, sorry about that! :( Should have caught it myself... > You've also suckered me into considering a pbuilder NMU since after > your patches the package no longer builds with cowbuilder/pbuilder. > (The solution to that is found in #740577 .) Right, I use a patched pbuilder and, more precisely, a patched sbuild for all my work on this GSoC project. Sometimes it feels like Wookey, Johannes Schauer and Helmut Grohne have done all the important work already :) > If you're interested in looking at more similar bug reports I'd very > much appreciate feedback on #757147 . I'll take a look at the patches there, yes. BTW just a quick comment from a single reading of the bug log - you say that dh-exec "introduces perl", but util-linux already build-depends on debhelper, which is kind of written in Perl - I don't think that there's an additional dependency there.
