Package: ifupdown
Version: 0.7.48.1
My gateway (openBSD 5.6) has the "M" bit set on its router advertisement
messages for IPv6, which means that additional addresses and other options
are provided by DHCPv6. See http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4861#section-4.2 .
The problem is: ifup seems to ignore these flags.
# /etc/network/interfaces
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet6 auto
Shouldn't ifupdown respect the "M" and "O" flags, regardless whether the
"dhcp" flag is set in /etc/network/interfaces ? For IPv6 autoconfiguration
I would prefer to put as few information into /e/n/interfaces as possible.
Regards
Harri
