I can confirm that 4store packaging includes no systemd-specific files.

It is my understanding that systemd supports this, an I suspect that 
either systemd has broken its promise or (perhaps more likely) something 
has gone wrong in your system.

Perhaps try remove and purge 4store, reinstall it, and see if that 
magically cures your system.
