Control: severity -1 critical This issue is release critical, as it break the debian installation. Thus raising the severity to critical, as it make the installer (an unrelated package) not work.
I believe the change that happened a few days ago was that a package depending on acl became part of the base system, thus forcing the acl package to be installed by debootstrap in the installer. And this do not work, as it uses bzip2 and not gzip as its compression method.
