I raised the severity to "important", because I plan to ship Jessie with ogre-1.9 only. As said in the original but report, ogre-1.8 is not supported by upstream by now (almost a year), and it is already showing problems (like not building in the new architectures being added), so it will be quite a burden to support it in a Debian stable cycle when it's an unsupported version before the freeze, and having to do things duplicated for 1.8 and 1.9.
