I did some further testing and found the problem. My /var/spool/caldavd filesystem (loop-device) was about 400MB in size. It always says "No space left on device". This is no problem with Version 2.x so I ignored it. But with Version 3.x it seems to be different. I expanded the filesystem to about 500MB and then about 600MB. 500MB: same problem. 600MB: everything works. The Message "No space left on device" is gone and all my tests work fine.
