Beware that your initial ramdisk for 2.6.8 was probably generated while still running Sarge, so the devices are possily created _before_ booting into Etch. Try backing up your old, working initial ramdisk for 2.6.8 and run dpkg-reconfigure for your 2.6.8 package. This should gerenate a new initial ramdisk similar to the one used for 2.6.14, and comparisons makes more sense. Oh, and when running dpkg-reconfigure then pay attention to the output revealing what ramdisk tool is used. - Jonas - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ - Enden er nær: http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDjexkn7DbMsAkQLgRAu6jAJ9Ut5N8wu64neC64hXb8ez3P8niuwCfa8lU un24BN5HAPzmO9JolZ36bLA= =F/pn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
