If you try it then you will see. The eatmydata package does affect
flashplugin-nonfree.

  # eatmydata update-flashplugin-nonfree --install
Error in GnuTLS initialization: Failed to acquire random data.
  Segmentation fault
  ERROR: wget failed to download

http://people.debian.org/~bartm/flashplugin-nonfree/D5C0FC14/get-upstream-version.pl.gz.pgp
More information might be available at:
    http://wiki.debian.org/FlashPlayer

  # update-flashplugin-nonfree --install
  ...no output...works...

The eatmydata ld_preload is often used with apt in order to remove the
performance penalty of fsync(). When this combination is used to
upgrade flashplugin-nonfree as it did today in Sid the above errors
are seen and the action fails.

Having "affects" does not mean a bug in your package
flashplugin-nonfree. The bug has been filed against eatmydata. The
purpose of "affects" is to log that the problem affects other packages
so that people when people have a problem they can see the root cause
of the bug. This prevents creation of duplicate bug reports against
affected packages. "Affects" does not negatively reflect upon your
package flashplugin-nonfree.
