with the latest bind9 update, pulled in this morning, named dies on sid as
well, with the following error

mem.c:1321: REQUIRE(ptr != ((void *)0)) failed, back trace

and the following stack trace (gotten with gdb and the core dumped by
named):

This is extremely annoying since it occurs VERY frequently and I have a
caching nameserver on my laptop. For the time being, I will have to give up
my caching name server to have a working machine...

Please let me know how I can help debug this. Should I recompile bind
locally, without stripping, so I can follow it in a debugger?

G.
