Package: radicale Version: 0.9-1 Severity: important While trying to migrate to the new multifilesystem storage backend, I naively copied all the contacts using icedove. I noticed it was taking too long, so I checked the server and found that it consumed 100% CPU for more than an hour to write about 600 records. A quick strace revealed that for every new record, it was re-creating dozens of unrelated files (probably all of them?).
I have not debugged this issue, but it is clearly a problem. Also, I don't know if this is also present in the other backends, as I haven't tried doing such a bulk import. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.6 APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable'), (500, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages radicale depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii python 2.7.3-4+deb7u1 ii python-radicale 0.9-1 radicale recommends no packages.
