Hi Ralf, thanks for your feedback. I'll see what I can do. Although there hasn't been much progress upstream I asked the upstream authors for help as I cannot reproduce this behaviour on my local machine. I forgot to ask what architecture you are running partimage on; there are known problems on architectures other than i386 and PowerPC.
