Can you post a gdb backtrace with debugging symbols installed, as follows:
$ sudo apt-get install libsimgearcore3.0.0-dbg libsimgearscene3.0.0-dbg $ gdb fgfs (gdb) run [wait for crash] (gdb) thread apply all bt fullIs it possible that you're running out of memory? FlightGear typically uses 1-2.5GB.
