Hi Joey, I tested this with D-I beta 1. The text seems the be fine (Although I don't understand Arabic). I'm attaching a screen shot.
During the time the bug was opened, slang2 had only imported the fribidi support from slang1. A support which was soon moved to newt by Eugeniy Meshcheryakov's.
