Have a look at the other bugs on this package. It was removed due to RC (release critical) bugs not being solved in a timely fashion. To go back into Jessie, those RC bugs would need to be patched and someone would need to upload the new package (involving a sponsor if the person providing the new version isn't a DM or DD).
