It seems that this bug is a duplicate of #692333

On wheeezy I get an absolute symlink, after installing a second kernel
onto the system. I added a 3.16 bpo kernel onto wheezy, and then
got those symlinks:

suenner[/]# ls -l | grep boot
drwxr-xr-x   3 root root  4096 Oct  7 22:43 boot
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root    35 Oct  7 22:43 initrd.img ->
/boot/initrd.img-3.16-0.bpo.2-amd64
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root    29 Jun 17  2013 initrd.img.old ->
boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-4-amd64
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root    31 Oct  7 22:43 vmlinuz ->
boot/vmlinuz-3.16-0.bpo.2-amd64
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root    26 Jun 17  2013 vmlinuz.old ->
boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-4-amd64
