Hi Martin, While upgrading to the latest is often a good thing, I'm not sure it's reasonable to try to upgrade so close from the freeze. I would very much prefer to delay this to Jessie+1, unless there's a strong motivation behind the upgrade.
So, do you have specific needs with version 1.9.0 which aren't covered by 1.8.0? Also, 1.8.0 is directly backportable to Wheezy, which I currently need to be working. It wont be the case with 1.9.0. That's another reason why I would prefer to wait (when Jessie is out, or even just frozen, I wont care anymore about silly Python 3.2 backports...).
