Package: ccze Version: 0.2.1-2 Severity: important ccze, when run with default options, tries to resolve user and group names in logs through name services.
When using nslcd, this breaks and causes an endless lookup loop, generating messages like: Oct 15 16:03:06 terra nslcd[4239]: [b48249] <passwd="passwd="passwd="passwd="passwd=> request denied by validnames option What happened here is that ccze used the <passwd... part for another user lookup, triggering another message, triggering another lookup, ... The nslcd log output should be parsed more carefully. Currently, it seems to be best to run ccze with -o nolookups. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ccze depends on: ii libc6 2.19-11 ii libncurses5 5.9+20140913-1 ii libpcre3 1:8.35-3.1 ccze recommends no packages. ccze suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
