Hi Michael,
the upstream author of dracut told me this:
10/24/14 [15:17:12] < haraldh> Mrfai, I guess, that is systemd
10/24/14 [15:17:32] < haraldh> and newer versions of systemd will support
/usr/lib/os-release
10/24/14 [15:19:41] < haraldh> s/guess/know/
I could reproduce this bug with jessie today. I will do this again
next week and try to give more details.
