This is still happening here. If I press Ctrl+C when ogg123 shows
'(EOS)' at the end of the status line (after Output Buffer), it gets
completely stuck.
Thank you for your persistence and sorry that the bug has been open for
such a long time. The vorbis-tools package didn't really have
maintainers for some time. Now we (some new members that joined the
packaging team) are trying to shake things up.
I've prepared a patch for the problem and submitted it to our
repository. It will be part of the next release 1.4.0-5.
