I just installed Debian 7.6.0 LXDE (from live CD) on a computer with a 1920x1080 screen. But I can't have normal caracter size. In lxappearance, every size is set as normal. On the login screen, Large Policies aren't enabled (just imagine when it's enabled...) network connexion and disconnection messages are so big that they go partially out of the screen, every file name is cut into 3 or 4 lines. Synapti c Pack... BOINC Mana... There is no existing way to get a normal screen. I looked for HOURS now on the Internet and tried every single software I had in my computer without succeding anything. Thousands of command lines, and files to modify that doesn't exists on my computer. So yes, this is a real bug, since no user can resolve an enormous (and cropped) problem permanently everywhere the screen, no publicly known way to be solved in lxde (if not, no way at all ?). Even expert didn't succeed in helping me. I mea n, no way to set t a pro blem like t his ? Thank you in advance and good luck For me, it's not possible to use LXDE on this computer (even a 1024x768 well configured screen is more comfortable) and after hours of failing to correct that, one thing is sure : there is something to modify somewhere but it's not my job anymore.
