I've also just been bitten by this issue. There seems to be some incompatibility between recent emacs24 and gnus-bonus-el, AFAIU... so even if the problem may not arise for jessie new installations, I guess there's an upgrade problem here : gnus-bonus-el is installed and nothing suggests that it needs to be removed. > Ok to close?
