Jeffrey, This bug is about removing the source package with the name mozilla-firefox, and the likely approach to be taken is to add the dummy transitional binary package to the new firefox source.
On that note, I feel like having that transitional package would require some sort of notification to users who install it that they're not getting Mozilla Firefox (TM), but just Debian's version of Firefox. Phil M.
