Ben Skeggs sent this and other Nouveau related fixes for 3.16 to [email protected] three weeks ago, but they did not make it into 3.16.7, nor has the Ubuntu kernel team picked them up for 3.16.7-ckt1 yet. :-( I have now reminded them to take these patches.
