I just re-tested this with Debian Jessie's rhn-client-tools (i.e.
1.8.26-3 as of now). This exception is also thrown here (i.e. in the
code from python2.7/2.7.8-11).
Regarding the patch mentioned in my previous mail, I do not know
whether the exception is thrown intentionally by python2.7, i.e. is
caused by an error in rhnreg_ks. Fixing the issue in python2.7 will
potentially break a lot of other unrelated software.
