Package: libv4l-0 Version: 1.4.0-1 Severity: serious Tags: upstream patch Hi,
[ This is a mostly unedited version of an email I sent to upstream. The bug affects jessie. ] I noticed that cheese was crashing on my desktop today. Some investigations showed that this also happens with a plain gstreamer pipeline using v4l2sink (e.g. gst-launch-1.0 -f v4l2src ! xvimagesink). The trace goes like this: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Switching to Thread 0x7fffeff32700 (LWP 23922)] 0x00007ffff3f1beb2 in jsimd_idct_islow_sse2.column_end () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjpeg.so.62 (gdb) bt #0 0x00007ffff3f1beb2 in jsimd_idct_islow_sse2.column_end () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjpeg.so.62 #1 0x00007fffe00aef30 in ?? This is fixed in upstream commit 757d7910ddf43d9a9187dddae4f51a57fb723e8d. I think you should cherry-pick this into Debian.
