Package: mlocate Version: 0.26-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
Please ship db.h as /usr/include/mlocate_db.h This files only weights 2714 bytes, so it's not interresting to build an independant mlocate-dev package. I need it to read mlocate binary database dirrectly for speed. I guess some other users might want to do the same. I currently ship a local copy in my database, but it seems against the spirit of the policy: https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-source.html#s-embeddedfiles The 'sudo' package do the same with /usr/include/sudo_plugin.h . Here is my ITP: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=770445 Goal is to solve this long-standing bug: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=429602 Thanks, Alexandre Detiste -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (200, 'unstable'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mlocate depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii libc6 2.19-13 mlocate recommends no packages. mlocate suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/updatedb.conf changed: PRUNE_BIND_MOUNTS="yes" PRUNEPATHS="/tmp /media" PRUNEFS="NFS nfs nfs4 rpc_pipefs afs binfmt_misc proc smbfs autofs iso9660 ncpfs coda devpts ftpfs devfs devtmpfs mfs shfs sysfs cifs lustre tmpfs usbfs udf fuse.glusterfs fuse.sshfs curlftpfs" -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
