I think this may be a duplicate of bug 769069. That regression is fixed
in 1.8.12-1, and the extra logging that I would need to confirm whether
you are also hitting that bug is also new in 1.8.12-1. However,
dbus-daemon is not automatically restarted unless you reboot.
Before rebooting, please capture a copy of the systemd Journal since
your last boot (sudo journalctl -a -b > journal.log), or the syslog
since your last boot. There might be other dbus- or systemd-related
timeout messages there.
After that, I believe rebooting should be sufficient to resolve this. To
confirm that, please try reinstalling dbus (apt-get install --reinstall
dbus) after you reboot; it should work.
