Source: nsd
Version: 4.1.0-2
Severity: normal

/etc/nsd/nsd.conf is misleading I think.

First of all, wilcard includes work, and the manpage also says so.
The comment preceeding the disabled include nsd.conf.d/*.conf line
is thus misleading.

Second, nsd does not merge server: stanzas. If you provide two files
with settings inside server:, you get an error:

  nsd[22432]: /etc/nsd/nsd.conf.d/local-verbosity.conf:1: error: duplicate
server: element.

Ideally, this would be fixed upstream such that server:
configuration in included files are merged appropriately. Until this
is the case, however, I think that /etc/nsd/nsd.conf.d should not be
provided or used.
