I am using kde. But I never ever used kwallet, and in previous versions
it worked without problems. Network manager stored the passwords
directly in the config files.

Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.10.0-3
Severity: important
When connection to a new wlan, network manager does not store the
password and the password needs to be reentered after every reconnect.
It does create the wlan config file below
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections , but it does not store the
password in it.
Manually removing the line
psk-flags=1
psk-flags means, the password is supposed to be saved in the user
session. What desktop environment do you use?
In case of GNOME, this would be gnome-keyring and for KDE, kwallet.
